Canada secretly spying on nearly 90% of citizens via cellphones during COVID pandemic

From the very beginning of COVID tyranny, the push for vaccine passports by governments around the world has been nothing but a backdoor way of using the so-called pandemic to build an Orwellian police state, and with recent revelations that Canada has been spying on nearly 90% of her citizens via their cellphones, it looks like things are going precisely as planned.

Post-9/11 tyranny is nothing compared to what’s been going on north of the border in the name of COVID (via New York Post):

Canada’s federal government admitted to secretly surveilling its population’s movements during the COVID-19 lockdown by tracking 33 million phones.

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) clandestinely tracked the devices to assess “the public’s responsiveness during lockdown measures,” the agency acknowledged last week, according to Blacklock’s Reporter, which first reported the disclosure.

Canada’s entire population totals 38 million, according to Statistics Canada.

“Evidence is coming in from many sources, from countries around the world, that what was seen as a huge surveillance surge — post 9/11 — is now completely upstaged by pandemic surveillance,” David Lyon, author of “Pandemic Surveillance” and the former director of the Surveillance Studies Centre at Queen’s University in Ontario, told the National Post.

The public health organization plans to continue tracking population movement for at least the next five years to control “other infectious diseases, chronic disease prevention and mental health,” the unnamed rep said. (emphasis mine)

Conservative MP John Brassard provides the Orwellian details:

“The Public Health Agency of Canada confirmed media reports just before Christmas that it had secretly accessed location data for 33 million mobile devices to monitor the movement of Canadians during COVID-19. That number represents roughly 87 percent of the population who were spied on without any knowledge that the government was accessing their data.”

If you’re thinking that Canada spying on cellphones has nothing to do with America, think again.

About a year ago, we learned how the federal government used the groundwork established by the PATRIOT Act to create a program that made it possible for them to spy on us via our cellphones without a warrant — a program that received plenty of support from Donald Trump and his bought and paid for Republican Party during his presidency.

And now, in the Age of COVID tyranny, government may have found a way to expand this program through the use — and eventually, the mandate — of vaccine passports.

In one of his first orders as president, Joe Biden instructed federal agencies to “evaluate” the idea of creating COVID digital certificates (vaccine passports) for ALL US citizens.

In July 2021, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky suggested that a “health pass system” (vaccine passports) allowing special access to certain venues for vaccinated individuals like those already being used in France and Italy, could be adopted in the United States. “I think some communities are doing that and that may very well be a path forward,” she stated in a CNN interview.

Vaccine passport programs have been focused on those who have been vaccinated, but never fear, Joe Biden has an app for that.

Calling at-home testing “an important tool to help mitigate the spread of COVID,” Joe Biden announced last week that he will be buying one billion of the tests to give to Americans for “free.” Putting aside the obvious fact that these “free” tests are being paid for with taxpayer money, Uncle Joe’s plan is actually a backdoor method for gaining access to your cellphone; and eventually, the ability to track your every move.

How, you might ask, can an at-home test give the feds the ability to spy on you? I’ll let Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) answer that one:

“At home COVID tests have been made available to every congressional office, but these are the kind that require a smartphone to report results, and ‘tests results are reported to relevant public health authorities.’ We have developed a work around to the surveillance state.” (emphasis mine)

Once you use the test, government will not only know the results, but it will also have created backdoor access to your device. A COVID tyranny win-win.

In a piece I wrote in March 2020 about how COVID could lead to the end of liberty and the beginning of tyranny — well before vaccine mandates and vaccine passports — I referenced an article written by John Whitehead, the founder and president of the Rutherford Institute.

It was Whitehead’s contention (and mine as well) that COVID tyranny is leading to the creation of a full-blown police state.

“This coronavirus epidemic, which has brought China’s Orwellian surveillance out of the shadows and caused Italy to declare a nationwide lockdown, threatens to bring the American Police State out into the open on a scale we’ve not seen before.

“If and when a nationwide lockdown finally hits — if and when we are forced to shelter in place — if and when militarized police are patrolling the streets — if and when security checkpoints have been established — if and when the media’s ability to broadcast the news has been curtailed by government censors — if and when public systems of communication (phone lines, internet, text messaging, etc.) have been restricted — if and when those FEMA camps the government has been surreptitiously building finally get used as quarantine detention centers for American citizens — if and when military “snatch and grab” teams are deployed on local, state, and federal levels as part of the activated Continuity of Government plans to isolate anyone suspected of being infected with COVID-19 — and if and when martial law is enacted with little real outcry or resistance from the public — then we will truly understand the extent to which the government has fully succeeded in recalibrating our general distaste for anything that smacks too overtly of tyranny.

“This is how it begins.”

A few short years ago, those who expressed fears about how COVID would lead to tyranny and the loss of liberty were quickly written off as conspiracy theorists and tinfoil hat-wearing nut jobs, but the news that Canada is spying on nearly 90% of her citizens via their cellphones during the so-called pandemic along with actions taken by our own government validates those concerns.
