It’s Conservative Comedy time at the Strident Conservative. As I do every Friday, I bring you some of the best conservative political and religious comedy, jokes, and satire on the internet, sure to provide a good laugh to begin your weekend.
As Vince Lombardi or perhaps Yogi Berra once said: “The best offense is a really offensive defense.” Which is perhaps why a defensive Dr. Francis Collins, head of the National Institutes of Health, has come out saying that the reason his agency hasn’t developed an Ebola vaccine is because of draconian budget cuts over the past 10 years. The problem is, the NIH really hasn’t had their budget slashed (in fact, for 2015 the Republicans gave the agency more money than Obama requested) and, quite demonstrably, they’ve felt so little belt-tightening in recent years that they’ve been perfectly happy to spend huge sums of money on medical projects of highly questionable value.
The Conservative Comic at Hope n’ Change shows us how it takes a special kind of person to believe this bull.
Jodi Miller at Newsbusted provides laughs this week on several news stories, including: the Chinese economy, John Boehner’s lack of action on Obama’s illegal activities, and Obama’s promise not to campaign for Mark Udall in Colorado. Additional stories include: the Honolulu city councils decision on naming a beach after Obama, rising prices at Starbucks, and rumors of a tryst between Prince Charles and Barbara Streisand. As the Conservative Comic showed us above, the average Obama voter isn’t necessarily the sharpest knife in the drawer. In that spirit, the Vice President’s recent LA visit had Jimmy Kimmel wondering how many people know who he is. So as an experiment we sent a camera crew out onto Hollywood Blvd. to ask Americans a very simple question: “Who is Joe Biden?”
