Welcome to Conservative Comedy Friday – Democrat debate edition.
Before we get to the debates, did you hear about the Fox and Friends host who recently called both North Korean leader Kim Jung Un and Donald Trump “dictators” on the air? FOX later offered an apology and a retraction, saying only one of the two leaders is a person who behaves in an autocratic way. The other is Kim Jung Un.
Regardless of what you think of Trump, he’s become a YUGE inspiration to a new generation. Kids are always told, “Believe in yourself. You can be anything you want to be when you grow up, even President of the United States.” Kids and parents used to think the chances of that actually happening were impossible. But now, thanks to Donald Trump, it’s a genuine possibility.
But seriously, folks (H/T Joe Walsh — the musician, not the politician), while we wait for the Trump trolls and evangelicals — was that redundant? — to defend God’s Man with their “we didn’t elect a pastor” comebacks, let’s take a look at the blue side of the Unibrow aisle.
The Democrat presidential debates were held this week. Actually, it was round two where too many candidates promised too much to remember. If you missed it, don’t worry; it was a lot like the first round of forgettable performances held last month. In fact, there was so little difference between the two debates, you could use the post-debate analysis from last month to summarize this week.
In fact, let’s do that. Let’s take a look at some of the post-debate work from some of my favorite providers of political parody.
First up, one of my favorites is Reason TV’s Remy. In Democratic Debate (The Rap), Remy perfectly ridicules how Democrats try to out-Democrat each other with their laundry list of Nanny-state promises for votes and money. Apparently they’ll let anybody on stage.
I’m also a fan of schmoyoho and their “songify” videos. Occasionally, their content is on the adult level, but their ability to turn almost any issue into a “song” is impressive. In Only One Will Survive – Songify The Dem Debate!, we witness an epic battle of dads and guitars as Democrats sweep us into the 2020 race.
Democrats — Republicans too for that matter — are more than willing to exploit the Constitution to advance a political agenda, and this week’s debates were no exception to the rule. In Second Amendment Trial Gets Wild!, the folks at Studio C show us what can happen when politicians manipulate our rights to their advantage. After all, every law is open to interpretation, right?
Have a great weekend!
