As the 2024 election draws near, I have updated a recent five-part series showing the lack of discernable policy differences between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. In Part I, we looked at how they both embrace various forms of COVID tyranny. In Part II, we examined their mutually shared views concerning the tyranny of abortion. In Part III, we documented their simpatico policies in the area of illegal immigration.
In Part IV, I expose areas where Joe Biden and Donald Trump hold the same values when it comes to embracing and advancing the LGBT agenda. Though both men have extended histories in this area, I will focus primarily on their actions as president.
Like Barack Obama before him, Joe Biden has been an avid cheerleader for the radical LGBT agenda, and he has adopted many of the ideas held by his former boss, including the use of big government to force schools into participating in the indoctrination and sexual abuse of children.
In Obama’s last year in office, after determining that he would fight so-called “discrimination” against transgender students as a civil rights issue, his Department of Education (DOE) held a meeting with a group called Equality Michigan and committed itself to stay “aggressively engaged” in the fight to allow children to use whichever bathroom they choose promoting the sexual abuse of children.
Shortly after that meeting, Education Secretary, John B. King, Jr. suggested in a keynote address to the Education Writers Association that the Department of Education would incorporate a never-before-used interpretation of Title IX to bully states into correcting what he termed “a terrible mistake” concerning so-called discrimination against transgenders.
Fast forward to Joe Biden’s first year in office when he ordered the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the U.S. Department of Education to expand the definition of the federal civil-rights statute banning sex discrimination in federally funded education programs to include gender identity in order to force public and private schools to comply. States that failed to do as he wished would be taken to court.
Biden put some muscle behind his plan to indoctrinate and sexually abuse children via the Department of Education in October 2021 with the appointment of Catherine Lhamon as assistant secretary for civil rights at the U.S. Department of Education.
Lhamon served as assistant secretary for civil rights during the Obama administration before being promoted to chair of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. During her tenure under Obama, she wrote a letter instructing public schools that they were in violation of federal law to prohibit students from using the restroom or locker room that matched their gender identity.
In April 2022, Joe Biden’s Department of Justice sent a letter to all 50 state attorneys general threatening them with legal action if they did anything to prevent minors from receiving so-called gender-affirming care.
Biden also used the “reform Title IX” approach to advance the transgender agenda through the sexual abuse of children. In January 2022, Biden announced his plan to enshrine the indoctrination and sexual abuse of children via a plethora of Title IX policy changes ensuring equal protections for transgender students, including their “right” to access school bathrooms that match their gender identity and participate in school sports. Recently, Biden made those changes official when released his “updated” version of Title IX to expand the definition of women to include “gender identity.”
Two more actions of note:
- In December 2022, Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act to codify same-sex marriage at the federal level.
- In January 2023, the Biden/Harris administration released the first-ever Federal Evidence Agenda on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) Equity, a roadmap to be used by federal agencies to ensure the collection of data necessary to “improve the lives of LGBTQI+ Americans.”
This is just a snapshot of the many ways Joe Biden has worked to advance the LGBT agenda, but Donald Trump was equally committed during his presidency and has remained so heading into the 2024 election.
During his 2016 acceptance speech, Trump sounded a lot like Joe Biden when he used the 2016 mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, FL to issue his promise to “protect” the LGBT community from violence:
“Only weeks ago, in Orlando, Fla., 49 wonderful Americans were savagely murdered by an Islamic terrorist. This time, the terrorist targeted the LGBTQ community. No good, and we’re going to stop it. As your president, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology. Believe me.” (Emphasis mine)
In one of Trump’s first actions as president, he renewed an Obama-era executive order legalizing discrimination against faith-based businesses by requiring government contractors to embrace the LGBT agenda or lose their right to do business with the federal government.
In Trump’s first year in office, he played the Obama/Biden card when he issued a memo threatening public schools that rejected transgenderism. Under the directive, Trump’s Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights was to have its lawyers and investigators investigate discrimination complaints by transgender students. The guidelines also included a requirement to investigate complaints where transgendered students felt they were being treated differently based on sex stereotypes (masculine vs. feminine).
During his presidency, Trump launched a global effort to “decriminalize” homosexuality worldwide. Then-U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell — the highest-profile openly gay person in the administration — led the effort and defended LGBT deviancy as “God’s truth” in an editorial written for Bild, a German tabloid newspaper:
“While a student at Evangel University, a Christian liberal arts college in Missouri, I was taught by biblical scholars that all truth is God’s truth, no matter where it is found. The truth for LGBT people is that we were born gay.” (Emphasis mine)
During Donald Trump’s 2020 reelection, Grenell was hand-picked to serve as senior adviser focused on outreach to LGBT voters. In that role, Grenell released a video ad proclaiming his boss as “the most pro-gay president in American history” — a video promoted by Log Cabin Republicans.
Speaking of Log Cabin Republicans — a group that describes itself as “the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives and allies” — Donald Trump hosted and attended a Republican Party fundraising event at Mar-a-Lago where they teamed up with the pro-LGBT organization to unveil the first ever ‘RNC Pride Coalition’ ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. According to then-RNC chair Ronna McDaniel, “Conservatives in Log Cabin don’t just share our vision for a free, secure and prosperous America — they enrich it by adding unique perspectives to our party and recruiting even more diverse candidates and supporters to join our cause.”
Later, Mr. and Mrs. Trump joined the Log Cabin Republicans for an encore gala at Mar-a-Lago to begin laying the foundation for his 2024 election and to let those in attendance know that he was “fighting hard” for the LGBT agenda, referring to it as “our movement.”
“We are fighting for the gay community, and we are fighting and fighting hard. With the help of many of the people here tonight in recent years, our movement has taken incredible strides, the strides you’ve made here is incredible.” (Emphasis mine)
In addition to receiving a standing ovation for this proclamation, Donald and Melania Trump received praise throughout the evening for their embrace of the LGBT agenda.
In April 2024, Donald and Melania Trump hosted and attended another fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago to raise money for his 2024 campaign and to support “LGBT conservatives.” Melania had been largely absent from the campaign trail during her husband’s run, but she used this event to cement the Trump family’s close ties with the LGBT community.
As the 2024 election approaches, remember that both Joe Biden and Donald Trump fully support the LGBT agenda.
