Back in June, the Supreme Court ruled 4-4 in a case filed by the state of Texas against Obama’s pen and phone and his executive amnesty plan. As a result of the tie vote, the Supreme Court upheld the decision by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled the plan unconstitutional.
While considered a victory for the constitutional separation of powers—the president is supposed to enforce laws passed by congress, not make the law—Obama, as he is prone to do, is looking for ways to get that power back.
As you’ll see in a moment, the reason he wants it isn’t what you think.
Whenever the Supreme Court has a ruling resulting from a 4-4 tie, the case can be reargued once the court is no longer equally divided. In other words, once the seat vacated by Antonin Scalia’s death is filled, the court would no longer have an even number of justices. This means in the end it would be no longer possible for the court to be equally divided.
There is precedent for Obama’s request to be honored, and with the next justice most likely to be either the current nominee, Merrick Garland, or a more liberal candidate from President Clinton—I just threw up a little in my mouth—the odds are good that the case will, indeed, be heard again. If that happens, either Obama or Clinton will have the power to make amnesty for illegal aliens a reality following the expected 5-4 decision in favor of the White House.
Now, for the real reason Obama wants his Executive Amnesty power back.
In an address last week to a group of diplomats following the terrorist attacks in France, the fundamental-transformation president made a direct reference to the UN 2030 Agenda as being the solution to defeating global terrorism.
The 2030 Agenda is an updated version of Agenda 21, which includes, among other things, the right for migrants to move across open borders in search of economic opportunities.
With executive amnesty restored and the goal of executive amnesty to be the unlimited acceptance of illegal aliens (i.e., open borders), Obama or Clinton would have a significantly powerful tool to facilitate the 2030 Agenda.
By the way, Barry and Hillary are big fans of the 2030 Agenda.
In a piece I published in September, 2015, I laid out the goals of the 2030 Agenda. In a nutshell, it’s the United Nations’ plan to institute global socialism. And when you consider the socio-Marxist philosophy that drives everything Obama does and his love of all things global, his attempt to have the Supreme Court re-hear the executive amnesty case makes perfect sense.
