For years now, the Obama administration has painted the picture that Israel is the problem when it comes to peace in the Middle East, including last summer when Hamas was firing rockets into Israel aimed at civilian centers in the hopes that they would be slaughtered.
But while Obama and John Kerry continue to treat the only ally America has in the Middle East with contempt, they continue to negotiate in good faith with the Iranians.
So, explain this one to me. Over the weekend, Iranian crowds chanted “Death to America” and the Supreme leader agreed. Here’s an excerpt from a story on the situation from The Times of Israel:
Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei called for “Death to America” on Saturday, one day after President Barack Obama appealed to Iran to seize a “historic opportunity” for a nuclear deal and a better future, and as U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry claimed substantial progress toward an accord.
Khamenei told a crowd in Tehran that Iran would not capitulate to Western demands. When the crowd started shouting, “Death to America,” the ayatollah responded: “Of course yes, death to America, because America is the original source of this pressure.”
Khamenei’s comments contrasted with those of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who said “achieving a deal is possible” by the March 31 target date for a preliminary accord.
Rouhani is the actor Kerry and Obama have been foolish enough to believe, while Khamenei is being honest about the Iranian regime’s view of the U.S. And as everyone knows—well, except for the Muslim-appeaser-in-chief and his flunkies in the State Department—it’s the ayatollahs who truly run the country.
In the meantime, Obama continues to argue that a two-state solution is necessary in Israel—recently calling Israel’s ownership of the West Bank a 50-year occupation—to prevent “a chaotic situation in the region.” Yeah, right! Because Obama’s policies have done a great job in preventing chaos in the Middle East. Obama is also “reconsidering” U.S. support for Israel at the United Nations.
Remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. And while you’re at it, ask God to be merciful on America. Because we are only fooling ourselves if we think America won’t suffer any repercussions if this madness continues.
