Someone asked me why I didn’t attend the Georgia March for Life this year. I told them to give me some time to pray about the right words to explain my decision not to attend. I found the right words and I wanted to share them with you all.
It occurred to me after years of watching the slow but steady progression of March for Life and Georgia Right to Life from well-intended, pro-life activism with a common goal of ending abortion in America to a giant campaign pep rally for politicians who DO NOT share the same goals nor espouse the same intentions. They simply want your donations and your votes so they can go to DC and vote for record-level Planned Parenthood funding.
It’s a vicious cycle of tickle their ears, go to Washington, vote to fund PP, then repeat every election year. I refuse to be a part of that cycle any longer.
Donald Trump has done absolutely NOTHING for the unborn. Spewing rhetoric doesn’t save lives. Not even with a trifecta of Republican power in Washington, when he could’ve easily promoted a pro-life agenda and attained results, did he do a single thing to STOP taxpayer funded baby murders. Instead, let’s review what he did do.
- He, with the help of the GOP majority, reinstated and FUNDED the NHHS fetal tissue research program. The same program that Republicans had worked tirelessly to shut down after the undercover “black market baby parts’ videos were made public.
- He has perpetually funded PP at a higher rate than ever before — ALL three years — including the first Continuing Resolution from the Obama administration in the early months of his term that also continued funding EVERY SINGLE Obama era initiative, which by the way, is STILL being fully funded.
- Neither he, nor his Republicants, wrote a single exclusion in the current spending measure that addresses federal funding for the six states now actively murdering babies up until birth. Not. One. Word. So, US taxpayers are footing the bill for that reprehensible crap too!
- Donald Trump now holds the title as the most murderous POTUS in the history of our nation. It’s his. He owns it.
You can feel all warm and fuzzy about him speaking at a pro life event if that makes you feel good. But, don’t YOU DARE pretend that he has done a DAMN thing to save a single life because he HAS NOT. In fact, under his “leadership,” Planned Parenthood just had another banner year.
If you are defending Trump rather than life, you’ve got it all wrong. Because the Holy Bible makes it perfectly clear…GOD HATES HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD. Forget the March for Life rhetoric for a minute and look at the discernible policy outcomes of this administration and ask yourself, “Is the blood of the innocent dripping from my hands?” If you’re excusing, spinning, ignoring, or defending the VERY, VERY UGLY truth for the sake of sectarian man worship, then the blood of those babies is on your hands too. God have mercy on your soul.
As a 34 year pro-life activist, I can’t express how disheartening it is to helplessly watch an entire movement lose its way. For those of you who understand what’s happening, I know you feel it too. The fight before us seems insurmountable. But we MUST keep fighting.
As January 22 approached this year, I asked God from my knees, as I do every morning, “How may I serve you today, Lord?” And He jerked me up off my knees, gave me His Armor to fight under, TRUTH to shield me, and ALMIGHTY strength to battle Satan’s wicked schemes.
I realized the fight for life is a fight against an enemy we’ve never known before now. An enemy seemingly impossible to defeat. A deception so evil it devours goodness, light, peace, TRUTH, principle, love, mercy, grace, and good intentions and turns it ALL into darkness. I’m not sure how to even fight it, but I trust God has a plan.
More babies were murdered last year at taxpayer expense than in any other year in our nations history. So, my decision not to attend came as I realized that marching is killing more babies than not marching ever did. It’s way past time to stop marching and start saving lives.
Wouldn’t it be great to see every pro-life marcher fight to make their communities a pro-life sanctuary? That’s what I’ve decided to work toward instead. God, help us save the babies!
