Earlier this year, the pro-life movement that depends on the murder of the unborn to make money just as much as the abortion industry does could hardly contain itself after the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower court ruling allowing Donald Trump’s “Protect Life Rule” to go into effect. The rule allegedly denied Planned Parenthood of the approximately $60 million they received annually via Title X, the government program used to provide family planning and related preventative health services.
In an article I wrote at the time, I shared how the Protect Life Rule did little to defund Planned Parenthood, and how it would do absolutely nothing to reduce the number of abortions. I gave two reasons for reaching these conclusions.
First, the White House openly admitted the Rule wouldn’t “necessarily defund Planned Parenthood.” All the baby butchers had to do was incorporate some creative bookkeeping to “disentangle taxpayer funds from abortion” to keep getting paid. Second, Planned Parenthood doesn’t need Title X income to begin with because the Medicaid and other reimbursements they receive in other federal spending have been increasing under Trump to the point where the $60 million “loss” will be more than covered.
For example, in the recent omnibus spending deal touted by the ,so-called pro-life leader of Susan B. Anthony List, president Marjorie Dannenfelser, as legislation that “[holds] pro-abortion Democrats accountable,” Trump and the GOP included over $550 million in Planned Parenthood funding between now and the end of the fiscal year (September 2020).
In light of this sad reality, it should come as no surprise to those paying attention that Planned Parenthood just announced another banner year of infanticide for Baby Butchers, Inc., thanks, in large part, to the U.S. taxpayer.
In the report for 2018-2019, Planned Parenthood announced the murder of 345,672 unborn babies in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. This is the highest number ever reached by the organization for a single year, and it represents a 3.88% increase over last year’s 332,757 victims.
The report showed that Planned Parenthood received $616 million in taxpayer funds compared to $563 million last year, an increase of $53 million, just shy of the $60 million “lost” by Trump’s Protect Life Rule. Their overall revenue came in at $1.4 billion which means taxpayers provided 44 percent of their income last year. To look at it another way, the leading murderer of the unborn received over $4000 for each dead baby.
It’s an election year, and that means Trump and the GOP will be repeating the same lies and making the same broken promises they’ve used in the past, including lies about being pro-life and promises to end abortion if you vote for them.
Unfortunately, far too many so-called conservatives will believe Trump and the GOP and give them their votes in November under the deceptive notion they must do so because Democrats are worse.
