Tony Blair reveals Trump’s AI goals: Digital IDs and government control
The Trump AI “Stargate Project is being hailed as the cornerstone of his “Golden Age of America” but the reality is, as former Prime Minister Tony Blair recently revealed, it will be the “holy grail” of government control and the key to digital IDs.
In an interview with The Times UK, Blair also assured the interviewer that the public will happily surrender their liberty and embrace Digital ID in exchange for safety and a smoother relationship with government (via Reclaim The Net):
Blair laid out his vision with characteristic conviction. “You’ve got to reorder the Government around this technology revolution,” he proclaimed, as though Britain’s primary governance issue wasn’t, say, economic stagnation or a crumbling NHS, but rather a lack of digital paperwork.
Blair’s argument hinges on the seductive promise of efficiency. Why drown in red tape when technology can offer a sleek, cost-cutting alternative? “You should be able to have a state that is smaller, more strategic, and providing greater efficiency at lower cost,” he explained, adding that technology is “the instrument that allows you to do it.”
Translation? Fewer bureaucrats, more automation, and a governance model where algorithms decide who gets what.
“There’s a big debate coming down the line [about digital ID],” he warned. And that debate, according to him, boils down to a simple question: “How much privacy are you prepared to trade for efficiency?”
Blair, ever the pragmatist, is confident the public will happily surrender chunks of their personal freedom in exchange for smoother interactions with the state. “My view is that people are actually prepared to trade quite a lot,” he declared, as though this was some great insight rather than an ominous warning.
But what exactly would this new digital ID regime entail? Blair envisions it as a multi-purpose tool: a way to control immigration, ensure public services are accessed only by those entitled to them, and prevent unauthorized migrants from gaming the system. “It’s sending a signal that there’s no point in thinking you’re going to come here and disappear into a kind of grey economy,” he told The Times.
With digital ID already in the works as part of Donald Trump’s plan to deal with border security and illegal immigration, the first half of Blair’s revelation is already in motion; Stargate AI will give government the “holy grail” of power it needs to complete the destruction of liberty and humanity.
Say hello to George Orwell’s 1984 surveillance state and the beginning of a social credit system (via Ars Technica):
Oracle co-founder, Larry Ellison shared his vision for an AI-powered surveillance future during a company financial meeting, reports Business Insider. During an investor Q&A, Ellison described a world where artificial intelligence systems would constantly monitor citizens through an extensive network of cameras and drones, stating this would ensure both police and citizens don’t break the law.
Ellison outlined a scenario where AI models would analyze footage from security cameras, police body cams, doorbell cameras, and vehicle dash cams.
“Citizens will be on their best behavior because we are constantly recording and reporting everything that’s going on,” Ellison said, describing what he sees as the benefits from automated oversight from AI and automated alerts for when crime takes place. “We’re going to have supervision,” he continued. “Every police officer is going to be supervised at all times, and if there’s a problem, AI will report the problem and report it to the appropriate person.”
Ellison’s vision bears more than a passing resemblance to the cautionary world portrayed in George Orwell’s prescient novel 1984. In Orwell’s fiction, the totalitarian government of Oceania uses ubiquitous “telescreens” to monitor citizens constantly, creating a society where privacy no longer exists and independent thought becomes nearly impossible.
But Orwell’s famous phrase “Big Brother is watching you” would take on new meaning in Ellison’s tech-driven scenario, where AI systems, rather than human watchers, would serve as the ever-vigilant eyes of authority. Once considered a sci-fi trope, automated systems are already becoming a reality: Similar automated CCTV surveillance systems have already been trialed in London Underground and at the 2024 Olympics.
China has been using automated systems (including AI) to surveil its citizens for years. In 2022, Reuters reported that Chinese firms had developed AI software to sort data collected on residents using a network of surveillance cameras deployed across cities and rural areas as part of China’s “sharp eyes” campaign from 2015 to 2020. This “one person, one file” technology reportedly organizes collected data on individual Chinese citizens, leading to what The Economic Times called a “road to digital totalitarianism.” (Emphasis mine)
Ellison also believes that Stargate AI will also prevent future pandemics:
Larry Ellison: "It take takes a huge investment, but the result of the investment will be vaccines that prevent cancers, personal personalized medicine, where where we never again run into a problem like COVID 19 before because we get an early warning."

The AI information gathered by the Stargate Project would make building a social credit system as good as done — especially when you add digital currency to the mix.
Digital currency puts every single cent of our money under full government control to be spent (or not spent) as the Republican/Democrat duopoly sees fit. On a practical level, this means that a digital dollar can, for example, be crafted to restrict fossil-fuel use or be programed to enact de facto price controls by preventing users from spending more money than government thinks they should on particular products.
One example of how this works comes to us courtesy of China’s CBDC (Digital Yuan), a digital currency tied to the country’s vaccine passport and social credit systems. Experts in the tech industry tell us that the digital platform used to create vaccine passports is the same platform used in China’s “social credit system.” Some of the areas tracked in real time by China’s “social credit system” are (via New Horizons):
- Medical history
- Social media posts and internet search history
- Bank accounts and credit cards
- Residence, employment, and criminal history
- Relationships and religious activities
- Political activity
This information is fed to a central database in real time to create a “social credit score” used to reward or punish citizens. Those with a high score are able to participate freely in society while those with a low score are prohibited from traveling, borrowing money, keeping a job, or even getting their children into school.
China doesn’t only track spending habits, it controls them — the ultimate goal of digital currency and the end result of AI according to Tony Blair.
Donald Trump’s AI “Stargate Project” should be stopped before it begins, but it won’t be because Washington is determined to destroy liberty. And according to Tony Blair, the destruction of liberty is a price the public is willing to pay in exchange for safety from the coming immoral dictator we’ll be getting when AI is fully developed.
