As we look back on nearly six months of coronavirus hysteria, it has become increasingly obvious that the fake pandemic has become an excuse to destroy liberty and replace it with socialism and tyranny.
We’ve watched as tyrants at the federal, state, and local levels of government used COVID-19 as the perfect “never let a crisis go to waste” opportunity to check off many of their socialist/Marxist priorities, such as:
- Ivanka’s government-mandated paid family leave
- Prison reform
- Gun control
- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal
- Universal Basic Income
- Jared Kushner’s Patriot Act for healthcare
Nationalist Republicans and Democratic Socialists have experienced so much success at using the so-called coronavirus “crisis” to destroy liberty that an increasing number of Americans have warmed up to another objective of the far-left — the destruction of capitalism.
A few months ago, our tyrannical government indicated that its iron-fisted control over our lives might be loosening when they began giving back the rights they were never allowed to take in the first place by “reopening” America. Sadly, under what is being referred to as the “new normal,” people everywhere lined up to thank the state for its benevolence.
But this action by the state was just a ruse. Because, as John Adams once said, “Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.” Or to paraphrase Adams from the state’s point of view, “Tyranny, once created, is here forever.”
In response to sham data indicating that the coronavirus situation is getting worse, government at every level is once again putting its boot on the neck of liberty.
For example, California Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the immediate state-wide closure yesterday of several business sectors. His clearly unconstitutional order required all counties to close indoor operations of restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, movie theatres, family entertainment centers, zoos, museums, card rooms, and all bars.
Gavin’s issued additional orders targeting 30 specific counties representing approximately 80% of California’s population. These targeted counties were also required to close indoor operations of fitness centers, places of worship, offices for noncritical sectors, personal hair services, and indoor malls.
The Founders warned us about how liberty could be lost if we ever gave government the power to keep us safe, and it looks like we failed to heed their warning.
And that begs the question, when will we reach our breaking point? Or more specifically, when will lovers of liberty say “enough” to tyranny and the socialism and Marxism it brings?
I hope we find the answer to these questions before it’s too late.
