WHO pandemic treaty will target ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’

WHO pandemic treaty will target ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’

The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a zero draft of its international pandemic treaty which will give the unelected global health agency new powers to “tackle” anything that it deems to be “false, misleading, misinformation or disinformation” if passed.

If the treaty passes, the WHO will have legally binding censorship power over the speech of nearly every citizen in the world (via ReclaimTheNet.org):

If adopted, the treaty will be legally binding under international law and the WHO’s 194 member states (which represent 98% of all the countries in the world) would be required to comply with the treaty’s demands to target misinformation.

The zero draft is similar to previous versions of the treaty and the provisions related to misinformation are described in Article 17 (“Strengthening pandemic and public health literacy”).

This section of the treaty calls for member states to “tackle false, misleading, misinformation or disinformation, including through promotion of international cooperation.”

It also urges member states to manage “infodemics” — a term coined by the WHO that refers to “too much information including false or misleading information in digital and physical environments during a disease outbreak.” Specifically, member states are told to manage these so-called infodemics “through effective channels, including social media.”

The scope of this treaty also extends beyond the WHO’s member base. Article 16 (“Whole-of-government and whole-of-society approaches at the national level”) urges member states to collaborate with non-state actors and the private sector as part of a “whole-of-society response in decision making, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, as well as effective feedback mechanisms.” (Emphasis mine)

While the idea of controlling the speech of the world’s population sounds impossible, the treaty — WHO leadership plans to have it in place by May 2024 — increases the agency’s global surveillance powers, making the task more manageable.

The development of global surveillance power is spelled out in Article 10 (“Strengthening and sustaining capacities for pandemic prevention, preparedness, response and recovery of health systems”) and Article 17 (“One Health”) of the treaty. They include requirements for the WHO’s member states to “build and reinforce surveillance systems” across both the public and private sector and to strengthen the WHO’s “One Health surveillance systems.”

In its fact sheet on One Health, the WHO cites Covid-19 as one of the main drivers for expanding its One Health approach and notes that COVID “put a spotlight on the need for a global framework for improved surveillance and a more holistic, integrated system.”

While the draft treaty doesn’t mention contact tracing and testing, these were two of the main surveillance tools that were used to track the spread of COVID during the so-called pandemic and conduct mass surveillance. Citizens were forced to use these surveillance apps and devices to provide governments and tech companies information to use as they choose.

Not only does this treaty grant the WHO these new powers, but it also recognizes “the central role of WHO” and considers the agency “the directing and coordinating authority on international health work.”

Another element of the treaty is how the World Health Organization will create a global digital passport and ID system capable of giving the United Nations the tools it will need to eventually control the entire world population.

According to Garret Mehl, the head of the WHO’s Department of Digital Health and Innovation, the ability to control the world population is necessary to build “trust” in the New World Order. To this end, the WHO contracted German-based Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-Systems months ago to develop a global vaccine passport system, with plans to link every person on the planet to a QR code digital ID.

“Vaccination certificates that are tamper-proof and digitally verifiable build trust. WHO is therefore supporting member states in building national and regional trust networks and verification technology. The WHO’s gateway service also serves as a bridge between regional systems. It can also be used as part of future vaccination campaigns and home-based records.” (Emphasis mine)

This system will be universal, mandatory, trans-national, and operated by unelected bureaucrats. If you think COVID tyranny was bad before, wait until Bill Gates and the global elitists at the World Health Organization and the United Nations are calling the shots.

As I documented in May 2022, the WHO global pandemic treaty and the role it plays in creating a New World Order got started in large part with a list of amendments to international health regulations submitted to the agency by Joe Biden on January 18, 2022, without an official statement or press conference.

Biden’s amendments give current and future World Health Organization Director-Generals unrestricted power to define and implement their interventions and to declare “public health emergencies” at will.

And here’s another hidden gem in the WHO’s pandemic treaty: the term “public health emergency” is deliberately vague and ill-defined, which means the treaty could also be used to address gun violence, climate change, digital passports or any other issue that arguably may affect “public health.”

Any questions about where this is heading have already been answered to a great extent:

Biden, Guterres, and Schwab form the perfect partnership for advancing the New World Order via the WHO global pandemic treaty.

Before mask mandates, vaccine mandates, vaccine passport mandates, and every other form of COVID tyranny under the “new normal,” I wrote an article suggesting that coronavirus hysteria could lead to the creation of, among other things, tracking systems like the one being considered in the WHO global pandemic treaty.

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has been advocating since December 2021 for a global vaccination campaign along with other programs to address “global problems” once the WHO pandemic treaty is approved (via Business Standard):

UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres has said that “the only way out of a global pandemic and out of this unjust and immoral situation is through a global vaccination campaign.”

Climate change, inequality, and the development of new technologies were also addressed by the UN Chief, who called for “a quantum leap in unity and solidarity” to address these global problems. (Emphasis mine)

For America, the WHO pandemic treaty’s goal of censoring misinformation and disinformation will mean the end of national sovereignty and free speech . . . and without a revival of liberty and a return to the Constitution, nothing will prevent these things from happening.
